When I started living in Canada, there's a lot of things that amazed me. The snow, the beautiful scenery and most specially the techy gadget at home. Well, to be honest we don't have those kind of appliances in our home in the Philippines. Things around me were new to me and it really excite me.

Now that I get a chance to sit and relax there are also many things that I think about. Just like thinking how lucky I am today having a very good hubby that supported me all the way. I never really thought about it before as I was busy doing my own things when I was still in the Philippines.

Talking about Philippines also brought me of so many happy memories. One of course is my family there. I feel sad once in a while thinking about them but because of technology our communications become so easy that I feel they are just within my reach. I can talk with them everyday if I wish to. I can see them also even just it's a virtual thing but that's okey at least I can see them.

And now, while waiting here and looking back, I told myself how lucky I am being here with my hubby and being with my family at the same time. It's as if I am in two different countries at the same time. Weird, but that's how I feel because no matter where I am I know that I will be happy knowing that the people whom I love is just within my reach.

Do you ever wonder how things change right now? Do you also feel lucky like me having those? Well I hope so because life is so simple now that God let us use the things we enjoy right now. All we need to do is to take care what He provide for us.

Waiting and Hoping

Wow, its been a while since I last post something here. No excuses for me but sorry my dear readers for not posting. I find it hard to write when I am not in the mood. LOL! Kidding aside, I miss you all!!!

For an update about me, I am currently talking with my sister while writing something here. I am very happy because even we are apart we still have time to talk and bond with each other. It's not really about the distance because there's already the internet to bridge the gap. Thanks to technology!

Anyway, let's leave the matter regarding my sister and let's proceed with the things happening in me. LOL! I am on the waiting mode since I'm still waiting for the schedule of my career planning and after that I can proceed to the course that will suits me. It is important for me because I don't want to get a profession that I will not enjoy at the end. My career planning will help me decide and I am really hoping that everything turns out right. I can't wait for my schedule and to start my way in getting my training.

I'm a graduate of Computer Science but ASCII coding is always been difficult for me. In fact even the famous "Hello World" program coding seems to be vague for me now. It's as if I never been to school that I forget simple program code either in C language or in C++ language. The problem with programming is that you easily forget the code when you don't really use it. Well, I thought I won't be able to recall the coding but thanks to the Code Collaboration from ASCIIBin because I was able to recall my programming language.

Yeah, that's right! ASCIIBin is also like Pastebin but what's really cool about this site is that you can collaborate with other programmers and learn from them. Aside from that it offers many additional features that you can't find in Pastebin. To give you some informations about the ASCIIBin features, here are some of it:

User registration system with customizable profile.
Write text before and after code blocks for precise descriptions of problems.

I got a chance to once again talked with my sisters in Cavite and at the same time had a fun time with them. I'm glad that their web cam has better resolution that I clearly seen them. I was also able to have a audio conversation with them that somehow add with the fun because we can talk real time and see each other that as if we were just in one room. Technology really helps in times like this and I am really thankful that I was able to learn using this stuff.

Speaking of technology, there are really lots of things you can do about it. Internet for example, I been using this to connect with my friends and family and do my blog and of course earn a little from it. And oh, I almost forgot, internet also helped me find the man of my dreams... my hubby. Gosh, what if internet has not been invented? Does it mean that I'll remain single forever? Waaahhh, I don't want to think about it instead I am thankful that I have it today. Technology also created cool gadgets like cellphone, iPod, TV, radio and a lot more.

Hmmm, what else you think about technology? Maybe you can add more here.

It's now on the fifth month since the announcement of global economic crises. Many company closes and so a lot of people lose their jobs and I'm not an exemption to that. I had two jobs before but when economic crises hit Canada I also lost my job two jobs. My family in the Philippines was also affected by it especially my sister who work for Intel Philippines. Their company closed and so she had no choice but to leave the company that she worked with for eleven years.

Though there's a lot of bad things happening around us, we should not forget to also count the blessings that we are receiving each day. Yes, I lost my job but my hubby got a new one with much higher pay. Yes, I lost my job but somehow it will give me time to go back to school and that is what I wanted to do right now. Yes, my sister lost her job but because of her separation pay my family were able to get back the the land that has been put into collaterals for our loan. Yes, my sister lost her job but before she lost it she was able to finish collage with the help of the company that she work with for 11 years.

There maybe lots of things that has been lost because of the economic downfall but looking back, we are still lucky because we are alive. Never miss to count your blessings each day and you will realize how lucky you are. God is always with us and so we will always be in good hand. Learn to trust God and you will be alright...

Hmmm, I think everyone of you are now thinking how am I. Well, to give you an update I am currently doing okey and having a great time at home. Yeah, I already quit working for awhile because I wanted to take a chance in upgrading myself this year. I am thinking of going back to school and take either practical nursing or maybe an xray technician. I'm little scared though because I have to attend school where everyone are talking in english. LOL!

I already get an appointment this coming May 21 to see if I'll be able to pass for the scholarship that the Canadian goverment is giving. I hope and I pray that I'll be able to pass so that I won't have problem in paying for my tuition fee. More than ever, I wanted to take this chance to improve myself more not only for hubby but also for me. Please do pray for me that I will be able to pass for the scholarship.

I am so worried about the Swine Flu death rates as it is increasing day after day. Just this morning, death rates for Swine Flu victims increased by four for Canada alone. I may not be in Manila but somehow I knew how it looks like especially with Manny Pacquiao fighting. It's a little bit corny but it is true that everytime Manny has boxing competation to anywhere in the world it's as if Philippines time stop as everyone are watching. Less traffic created because drivers stop working to see the left and righ hook of Manny. It's also the time when war in Mindanao cease fire because everyones eye are on television. Sounds exaggerating but then that's the truth behind Pacman's fight.

Today is again the big day for Manny as well as for filipino people. It's as if fighting for your nation and Manny is our Nation's pride. Once again, the Philippine time stopped at 10 am but unlike other boxing competition this fight was the shortest one. In just a matter of two rounds, Manny won by knocking out Hatton. The big fight last in a flash. Wow! Another world record and I am so proud that Manny won! Pacman's victory is our nation's pride!

Congratulation Manny! Thank you for making Pilipinas proud! God bless you always!

Just few months ago when I received a message from my sister about our real property way back home. It has been put as our collateral for our loan. I almost forgot the details of the contract until my sister revisited it because she wanted to pay our loan and get the title back. It was then when it sink into my mind that we almost lost our parent's land because the due date of our loan was almost over but thanks God for not letting it to happened. My sister just get it on time by paying our loan. Now, our property is back but I don't want to get into that dilemma again. I, myself is guilty about it. I worry too much and sometimes worries on the things that haven't come yet. But come to think of it, we received so many blessings everyday. Life itself is the biggest blessings that we shouldn't ignore. Thank God each day for giving you such beautiful gift of life and count the blessings He has shower upon you may it be big or small.

Lenten Season...

Ash Wednesday for this year was over and for Catholic church it is also the beginning of the Lenten Season. I remembered way back home that everyone is anticipating for the lenten season. It's a huge celebration for the Catholic church. I myself used to do the "Bisita Iglesia" (visiting churches) during holy Thursday and attending the veneration of the holy cross during Holy Friday. Then on black Saturday, I and my cousins attend the holy mass in the afternoon and of course on Easter Sunday where everyone is rejoicing.

Of course, I also miss the vacation when most of the time I and my sister go to Quezon province and spent our holy week there at our friend's house. I just love the sea, the mountains and of course the people there. But now, I'll celebrate the holy week together with my hubby and we are both excited this coming summer. Oh, I just love to feel the heat of the sun again after the looonnngg winter season. LOL!

Snow are glisten and slowly melting. The wind blows sooo cold that it almost wreck my body everytime I'm outside the street. I enjoyed the time playing with the snow but how much I enjoyed having it I often times need the heat. It's my second year here but my body seems to still adjust with the cold climate. Why, not? I live in a tropical country for sooo long that I missed having the usual summer heat.

Summer here is too short and we all been waiting for it to come. I missed the flowers to bloom and enjoyed the day with the blissful heat we receive from the sun. Oh, I'm wondering how will be our summer this year will look like but I know it will definitely be happy just like the last year.

When I started blogging I never really thought of buying my own domain. I just wanted to write and blog all my ideas, aspirations, dreams and anything that are happening to me. Plain and simple, isn't it? Well, that's when I still naive on what the domain can do to a blogger like me. I even thought that free hosting will complete everything that I need but that's not the case because since it is free there are many limitations that you have to follow inorder to get their service. Sometimes it frustrate me if there are things I wanted to do with my own blog account that I cannot really do because I am just one of those many bloggers getting the free service. Economy Crisis, when will it gonna stop?

Big damaged is all I can see eversince the economy started. I still rememembered when the a large company in Wall Street announced it's bankruptcy and created a big chaos to the world. It's affected so other large companies and created over a million of unemployment all over. Until now, it is still uncertained when will the economy will rise again or will it ever be better in the future? What I only knew is that it affected us so much. When will it gonna stop? I am really praying that it will be over soon. It's eating us all. Where is that money now? Oh, I know you too has lots of questions like me and hoping that it will be answered soon. As of now, we can't do nothing about it but we can do something for ourselves. Be brave and face the reality with courage and faith to God. All will be better soon. As they said, there's always sunshine after the rain. I am just hoping that we will see the sunshine faster than we thought.

I wanted a New Layout Design!!!

I been thinking of editing my website design. I wanted it to be more sophisticated and well more viewer's friendly and catchy. My problem is how to do it myself? I am not an expert when it comes to web designing. Heck, I don't even know how to read those programming languages that they usually used for web designing. My sister said that it's better if they have this WYSIWYG. Oh, it's much harder to understand, I told her and she said that WYSIWYG means What You See Is What You Get. Hmmm, it made sense to me, it's easier to understand now. LOL!

Anyway, I still couldn't made my own website design. It's crazier than I thought. Good thing I seen this WP Remix website which offer premium wordpress themes and a WYSIWYG page template editing. Hmmm, just like my sister told me. Aside from that, I'm seeing a lot of interesting website templates that I really like. Well, the big catch actually is the 50% increase from their affliate program payout which means a greater chance for me to get additional income and this already started since last week. So, if ever, I will get my own website design plus a greater chance to earn more. Sounds good, right? What do you think?

I was so glad because I was able to talked with my sister before I went to work tonight. She told me what happened when they went home last Feb. 1 and I was so glad also that my father finally get back the right for his farm. I'm just a little worried because until now she still don't have work and the money she got from her separation package was also the money she used to pay the loan and to get the farm back. I really hope that she will be able to get a more better job because I know she will be able to help a lot of people whenever she is capable to do so. I also wish that she get a visa in coming here. There's so many wishes but there's only one wish I really wanted for her and that is she will be okey wherever she go.

I couldn't believe that there's such a thing as hand crafted quality plastic machining where they can customize and fabricate the simple to the complex plastic tracks, gears, bearings, bushing, washers and a lot more. At first, I doubted the having a plastic gears but then I realize the advantage of using it. Why? Well, plastic is a rust free materials and will surely last because of the quality of materials used in molding it. It's specifically good especially for big manufacturing industries for it will save them money because they can use their bearings for example over a long period of time without worrying or rust.
